University Dual Enrollment
Florida Preparatory Academy offers students the opportunity to participate in University Dual Enrollment, allowing qualified students to earn college credits while still completing their high school diploma.
Our flagship dual-enrollment partnership with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University provides students with early access to one of the world’s most respected aviation and aerospace universities. Students can take university-level courses in areas such as aeronautics, aerospace, engineering, aviation safety, drones, and aviation business while building both high school and college transcripts.
In addition to Embry-Riddle, Florida Prep students may also pursue dual-enrollment opportunities through Florida Institute of Technology (FIT/Florida Tech) and Eastern Florida State College (EFSC), expanding academic opportunities across liberal arts, engineering, computing, aviation, and advanced mathematics.
Dual Enrollment allows students who excel in their secondary school studies to pursue credit-granting university courses for several reasons:
- To explore subjects and potential pathways
- To gain early exposure to their intended university major
- To build a competitive academic profile for college admissions
- To earn advanced standing before enrolling at a university
In addition to academic enrichment, Dual Enrollment can also significantly reduce the cost of higher education. In some cases, students may save up to $40,000 in tuition by completing university credits early.
