International Students

We are proud of our international atmosphere and are fully aware of the value that our international students bring to the Florida Preparatory Academy culture. Please read all directions so that your application process is not delayed.

Admission to Florida Preparatory Academy comes after a formal review process by the Admissions Committee. Each student must have a personal interview via Skype before they can be considered for acceptance by our Admissions Committee. Grades and transcripts from previous schools are required to determine eligibility for enrollment. Letters of reference from teachers are also required.

International students must have a reasonable understanding of English relevant to their age and grade. FPA provides an immersive ESOL program for grade levels 5 -12 but the students must have studied English prior to arrival.

International students entering the Academy must be able to show some English proficiency, as beginner ESOL is not available. Submission of English proficiency test score, such as iTEP SLATE, IELS, TOEFL Junior or TOEFL iBT, is required. Submit the applicant's score with the application. Once a student has been accepted, he/she will be required to take a placement test upon arrival at FPA.

Once all documentation has been received, the Florida Preparatory Academy Admissions Committee will review the material to determine the candidate’s qualifications for acceptance. Applicants will be promptly notified of the Committee’s decision.
