Florida Prep ensures qualified coaches and trainers are available to all students during their time at the Tennis Academy.
Professional coaching ensures athletes are both physically and mentally ready to compete. Therefore, our coaching includes a variety of skill-sets beyond the game itself, including mental conditioning, nutrition awareness, team building skills, and competitive drills.
Our two Tennis Academy coaches are Mike Lynch and Artie Yentumi.
Mike Lynch is registered with the state of Florida as a United States Tennis Association Tennis Director. Prior to joining Florida Prep he was the Director of Tennis for the City of Melbourne, Fee Avenue Tennis Complex and the Jimmy Moore Tennis Complex where he developed and implementation numerous successful tennis programs for juniors of all levels.
In addition to coaching, Mike also brings to the tennis program his own fitness training regime, consisting of dynamic stretching, endurance and agility exercises, as well as core strength training.
Mike has been an acting board member of the Space Coast Tennis Association since 2010 and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Coastal Carolina University.
Artie Yentumi is the founder and current coach of a competitive junior tennis program in Brevard County and a visiting coach at the High-Performance tennis camp at Washington University in St. Louis.
Artie’s coaching philosophy amalgamates skill with the determination and rigor it takes to train and compete successfully at the top collegiate level. During his 12-year coaching career Artie has collaborated extensively with coaches and players from around the world.
He is a certified Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) coach and graduated with a degree in Aviation management from Florida Institute of Technology, where he played varsity tennis.
