The college process is an exciting and personal journey for every student and family, and it is our goal at Florida Preparatory Academy to ensure that all students are prepared to successfully continue their education at the college or university level and beyond.
We have designed a comprehensive college education program for each grade of school. Led by Ms. Courtney Treubert, our counseling team meets many times with each student personally to provide guidance about the college application process. Brochures, videos, CD-ROMs, publications, the internet and visits to the FPA campus from college admissions representatives are used to expose our students to a variety of college-related information.
Students also attend two college fairs each fall and spring which provides them the opportunity to meet with admissions representatives from more than 200 colleges and universities. In addition, college information workshops for parents are presented during Parent Weekends in the fall and spring. What's unique about the FPA program is the individual attention that students, especially seniors, are given in this critical process; attention that most high schools are simply unable to provide.
100% College Acceptance Since 1978
Great effort is made to ensure that our students are aware of the multitude of opportunities available to them upon graduation from FPA. The Counseling Department also oversees the administration of college admissions tests such as the SAT, ACT, and TOEFL. Both the SAT and ACT are offered on our campus twice a year. SAT Preparation courses are offered as well, once each semester, which provide students the opportunity to prepare for and improve their scores on this critically important test.
This spring our seniors were accepted into the colleges and universities of their choice on a daily basis. The 37 students in the Class of 2016 earned $5 million in scholarships.
We look forward to meeting your child personally. Feel free to email our college counselor for information.
