Admissions Process

New Domestic Boarding Students

NOTE: If a Student is working with an Agent or Consultant, the Agent is responsible for completing the admissions steps with the parent(s) and ensuring the parents thoroughly understand what is submitted and signed.  Parents must sign all documents requiring a parent/legal guardian signature; whether physical or electronic.

Schedule a visit to Florida Preparatory Academy -

Contact our Admissions Office at 321-723-3211 to schedule a campus visit.   Campus visits take place on Tuesday and Thursday at 9:30. An RSVP is required. There are scheduled weekday Open Houses and Saturday Open Houses are also scheduled once a month.

Application Form and Application Fee of $100 -

The admission process begins with parents submitting a completed application, paying the application fee, and signing the Authorization to Release Records form to release a copy of educational records. The release form must be signed and returned with the application form.  The release form will be sent to the current school to obtain the applicant’s records. This form may also be taken by student/parent to the attending school. Begin your application. Note: the $100 application fee is non-refundable. Additionally, you will need to create an account before starting the application.

If the online application has been submitted, evaluation forms and the release of records form will be emailed to you or you may download the files from our website.

Domestic students, submit your SSAT (Secondary Schools Admission Test) scores.

All applicants are required to take the SSAT.  For information regarding SSAT test registration, visit  When registering, list Florida Preparatory Academy code 3179 so an official copy of the score report is received.  You must register at least three weeks prior to the test date, to avoid additional charges.


Student Interview – This can take place during your campus visit.

After reviewing the student application and school records, student interviews are scheduled for potential applicants.  The goal in Admissions is to set each student up for success and make sure we are the best fit for each individual.   Once the students are enrolled, FPA’s goal is to prepare our students not only for college, but also prepare them for every aspect of life.


You will be notified of acceptance by letter, email or phone.   For International students once accepted and upon Registration/International Fee payment being received with contract, an I-20 will be issued to the student.
